This is the third of four notices to Riders updating you on important information.
Firstly, there are but two days left to order picnic hampers from Chorizo & Company – who will also be there to judge Best Overall Picnic. Hampers start at $30 for two people, and after sampling a little over the weekend, we can say olé! You will not be disappointed! Please contact them directly to order.
As in years past Tweed Ride aims to be a zero-waste event. To that end, we urge you to bring your own tea cups to enjoy the tea provided by Murchies.
There are only a few days left remaining until the Ride. It is important to make certain your velocipede will make the trip! If you happen to be handy, follow these tips from Le Vélo.Or, simply take it in to one of our sponsoring shops, North Park of Fairfield Bicycle Shop. They will make Tweed Riders a priority.
Our theme this year is an Autumn Picnic, and Tweed Riders can expect a massive, all out tug-of-war, a fifty-person sack race, and we are seeking the loan of other outdoor sporting equipment such as boules/bocce, croquet sets, a badminton set, and ring toss. So do let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are so kind to oblige us.
We do still have tickets available, so please spread the word!
The Ride will happen rain or shine, and we meet at 11:00am on the grounds of St Ann’s Academy. It is impossible to predict the weather, and we truly hope for the very best. But, if we have inclement weather, the Ride will carry on as planned and we will look to add an extra event in the coming weeks to make up for what will no doubt be a curtailed picnic experience.
Expect a final notice on Friday evening!
